Hello,
I want to increase wall height from 10 to 12 or 14.  The plans have to have an engineer stamp and the foundation (slab my choice) has to support it (and have a stamp?).  I looked over the postings but could not find anything on this.  Anybody know?

Many, many people have discussed this on this site and many have gone to 10' or 12' walls.

Try a search on 1 1/2 story!

Hi and thanks,

I did look but I did not see any mention of the engineering stamps.  I am in King County and I know the code guys will make issue of the concrete too.

Hi Lance.

I didn't think standard construction required engineering and slabs usually have a standard footing that is allowed per code.  You may want to talk to your building department about it.  If they still require engineering you will need to contact a local engineer familiar with your soil type and conditions and he will for a fee, review your project, draw up his acceptable requirements and stamp all the plans as required by the county.
