A good (outdoor) stain

I have seen Sikkens mentioned here a few times, and I have also heard to steer clear of the HD/Lowes brands. 
Glenn, I recall you once gave a link to a specialty brand here in Oregon (Newberg/Yamhill), but I cannot find that message.  It was a company whose stains were specially made for rural/rustic places...
Any others I should look to?
