Unique Foundation Posts?

Has anyone used unique/artistic/tall foundation posts?  Do you have any photos or words of wisdom to share on this?

These posts were layed-up "free-form", ... they have plenty of re-bar in them, so I hope/expect they can withstand some small seismic activity if needed.  My first foundation "post plan" was to lay up an arch, using no beams ... maybe next time I'll try an arch.
