concrete countertops

Now that I have been living in my house for a few months and have finished about everything else, I need to get some countertops for my kitchen.  I have just been using plywood and am getting very tired of looking at them.  So I am considering making my own out of concrete.  

Has anyone out there done this and have any suggestions or ideas?
