After Coopers revived my old thread on the Old stone house and grounds, I decided to record some more stone work and other structures in and around West Union, OH.  Buildings are being neglected and torn down at a faster rate around here and it's sad to see.

This is the Presbyterian church built in 1810 and is the more typical stone work found in this area.

An example of chimney stone work on this house that now has aluminum siding.

An example of an old carriage house that has been partly restored including putting new sill beams on the stone foundation.  Note the metal roofs on this and many other buildings here.

And another view of the carriage house with the stone wall next to it.

A different kind of stone work on this old building on Main St.  that has been vacant for about 50 years.  It is located next to the site of one of the natural springs that caused this town to be built here.

The front of the same building.  Note the large single pane widows that are about 10 ft. square.
