I grew up 60 miles west of Chicago in the 60's  and 70's.  Even being a teenager, I realized how Chicago politics worked.  It got a bit better once Richard Daley was out of office, but I guess the corruption never went totally away.

The sad part is that it reflects on all politicians in general, even the few good ones.
