This being the one year aniversary of the great Ohio valley hurricane, my interest was piqued by the Oct. issue of PM.

There's a feature on homesteading and a visit to a family in a fero-cement earth-berm house.

A primer on raising chickens, including building a coop.

The funniest thing was a survival checklist.  The no. 1 item to have on hand was beer8) It's better than money in an emergency.

I haven't had a chance to read it yet.  Will be taking it to the SSA office tomarrow while I wait to straighten out my wife's check.  >:(

money is paper with greenish tint that some corporation (fed reserve) prints out and loans to us with intrest... and you can't drink or eat it...


i like beer...  gets friends over in a jam
