Vinyl siding expansion

I am using Royal Woodland vinyl siding. It is a 46 mil, 16' 4" long.

On their website, under the physical property of coefficient of linear expansion, it states:

Standard Method: ASTM E-831
Unit of Measure: 105 in/in/°F
Result: 3.07

Can someone interpret that for me ?

What I would like to know is how much a full length panel (16' 4") would expand in length going from 0 degrees to 100 degrees.

Vinyl siding in general can shrink upto 1/2 an inch from weather changes. The installation instructions for the Royal Woodland siding says to overlap the horizontal siding panels by one inch and not to drive the nails tight onto the siding. The siding panels should slide back and forth freely after the nails are installed.
