hi everyone,
we built a small shed/house in washington and were thinking about getting a well dug, but changed our mind for the time being when we learned how deep we would have to go and what that was going to cost us. over christmas, i was talking to a singaporean friend about the water situation in singapore. one particular innovation there that has revolutionized the availability of potable water is called hyflux dragonfly. it is a portable water cooler-looking thing that pulls water out of the air and produces potable water. apparently enough for a family. anyone here hear of this before?

I can see it working in a high humidity location - like Singapore...........

water condensing on a cold element and then filtered and stored......sound idea.

I would imagine it could supply a drinking water supply, how much power V's how much water is another Q

But in arid deserts and high dry mountains it would probably have to work hard.......to produce a good ammount of water.

Re-cycling rain water would probably be a better way to go, not sure on what your climate is like
