Piem and beam foundation

I want to add on a room, 14x22, how many beam and piers would I need? I was going to use 6x6 beam on 7.5 center or 4 beams. How many piers? Or is this too much? This room would be one story with reg. pitch roof. 12x4

Hi Mikef.

That could all vary depending on the design you use.  Things have to work together.  A very cheap way to get this information and a complete design would be to get Johns little house plans.  They should cover all you need.  Length can be modified to fit your needs.
