So I instantly feel in love with the universal cottage 2-story which I will say is very very rare in my situation :o But today when I was just looking around online I found a site called Firstday cottages. It seems to be a kit home which to be honest I cant decide if is a good idea or not. From what I read on the site it seems to save you $$$ but does that just mean there is alot of corners cut.....

I really think at this point we are leaving towards getting our plan just thru Country Plans but I was just curious if anyone has done a kit home or if they had any experience with Firstday

As mentioned on this site -- I'm sure you didn't get to it yet, Firstday is not really a kit but a system and quality material supplier.

Daddymem and Mommymem built a nice one and have the inside scoop.

But your answer/reply was more complete...  :)
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.
