Looking for guidance for porch construction.

I'm hoping someone in the group can lead me in the direction of a porch book or web site dealing in design and construction. I am planning on purchasing an 800 sqft cabin with a loft in upstate NY that just screams for a covered porch. Front and back, possibly a wrap-a-round. The roof pitch looks to be 11:12 or 12:12. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
