That's why tri-gear is so forgiving -- the forward weight pulls the plane straight after the mains touch down

My best (worst) most challenging landing in the 170 was at RFD with a 22 kt crosswind

I bottomed left rudder  several times with almost full right aileron-- but we made it ok

Often, our ignorance is not as great as our reluctance to act on what we know.
