The Purpose Behind Engineered Economic Collapse

Read this the other night and another member mentioned it too.  What are your thoughts on this?  Any merit to it?

It's not the first time and it won't be the last. As long as a group of people has the power to create money from nothing the problem will continue. Failure is built into the system. It is designed to fail, though failure is relative to where you stand in the system. For some this failure is a boom.

The system is also a challenge to our morals. How can you be expected to be honest when the system we live in is dishonest. Feel bad because you can't pay your debts? Don't the money you borrowed was created out of thin air when you borrowed it. No one loses anything if you don't pay it back.

Bottom line is we have traded what we had that was of real value for worthless paper. Now you know how the indians who sold manhattan for a few worthless beads must have felt.

...

Or the opposite - I have traded that "worthless paper" for land, for cattle, for tools, for knowledge, for machinery, for vehicles, for metals, for food, for whatever you think is of real value.   No one forces people to take on debt, we are free to use the system we have for our benefit instead of letting the system use us.  The key is understanding how the cycle works.  They do.

Well written article and sadly   :(, I believe it is pretty much right on the money. (sorry for bad pun)

One of the things mentioned was that during times of duress (war, financial collapse, etc. ) people tend to cling to authority (perceived or otherwise). I think the same thing occurred after 911, as well as numerous previous atrocities. Even with the 600 lb. gorilla standing directly in their path most people will not only be blind to it, but refuse to even acknowledge it. I don't berate people for this, I think the human brain is wired to protect itself from anything that upsets our balance of logic and order. Certainly much easier on ones psyche if you can believe otherwise.  I wish I could.

It's not a conspiracy theory when there are hard facts involved.

Unlike some, the harder it gets the less I want anything government and big business has to offer me, but like muldoon mentioned, I also partake and use the system for all it is worth as far as my business and dealings go.

I trade the worthless paper for all I can get out of it and I still owe plenty of it.  Things I bought with it - old equipment - fuel parts etc., along with things I know seem to keep me making a living where others don't have a lot of hope.

I started in business in 1974 and have worked for myself since, because no-one else would take my crap without firing me.

I got this book shortly after I started and it told it like it is.  I took a lot of it's advice and am still working for myself. [ouch]

Just as an fyi, informational only, I went short today (via spy puts) with a target of third week of October on the option chains.  we are on the precipice for major reversal as far as equity market go over the next few weeks in my opinion.  As for anything else, who knows, I just put a dime in the slot machine every now and then.

I understand that street corners with tin cans and cardboard signs do remarkably well, but haven't got the guts to try it.   I have to admire those guys... [waiting]

muldoon, I'm always interested in watching you but I never was much of a gambler as it always looked like... well... gambling to me, so I never dug deep into it.  [noidea'
