Insulating under a porch

I have a porch/entry room into my Victoria's Cottage that is constructed differently from the rest of the house in that it hangs off the house and is supported by two posts and two beams.  It is pretty high off the ground, but I am wondering whether I should insulate under the enclosed entry room area.  The room itself will not be heated, but I plan to insulate the walls, especially the common walls with the heated part of the house.  Does my question make sense?  If I should insulate the underfloor area, to what R value?  This is for the Oregon coast.

Thanks,

If it's not a heated space it probably does not matter.    But, I'd try for R-25 id it'll fit in the joist bays.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.
