Or, Why do you live where yo do? That's meant in a geographic sense.

I was born here, don't want to leave
I was born here, can't wait to leave, but don't know where to go
Moved here, because some family member(s)did
Moved here, because my job (or spouse, S.O. job) moved me
Moved here, because of lower taxation rate
Moved here, because I liked the climate
Moved here, because of the scenery
Moved here, because I've been run out of everywhere else
Moved here because of some other reason.
Moved here, because of certain laws (permissible or restrictive)

By 'here' I mean the general area.   Choose as many reasons as applicable.   It's anonymous unless you choose to leave a comment.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

As an adult I've lived all over (as a kid even more so)...but I moved to Washington primarily because the woman I love was there and I was out of work so why not move to WA, find new work and make a life there.

I've lived:  Oregon, Washington, North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, Waegon South Korea (Camp Carrol), Maryland, British Columbia Canada and did some short stints in South Carolina and California (though they don't really count, nor does Georgia in the sense that those were temporary stations in the military.

The USA surely has its problems.

Just glad I wasn't made in China.

I wasn't born in OK, though most of my family is from here and there are still a lot of them around.  However, after living all over the place, this is the only place that has ever really felt like home.  My husband makes fun of me ("The red dirt of Oklahoma runs deep in your veins".... an allusion to "Gone with the Wind" for those of you who haven't read/seen it in a while) but it is true.  There is no place I'd rather be this side of heaven.

Oregon coast clouds and rain depressed me.   :(

I found out it doesn't rain everyday in California so moved down here.... that's the short story and I'm sticken to it.... [waiting]

We're in FL because my wife wanted to be closer to her mother, and I didn't have anything better to do. We're GOING to live in upstate SC because of climate, scenery, and the ability to afford a few acres to mess around with.

I'm not poor- I'm financially underpowered.
