We're going to have a freeze here tonight.  My pear trees have already pollinated (just barely dropped the flower petals), and I want to save the fruit.

Is fruit susceptible to freeze loss once already pollinated?  I have some small propane heaters to run under the trees to generate a little warmth.

The heaters may work but a better way is set up a sprinkler.
These here is God's finest scupturings! And there ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here!

I agree with Peternap. FIf you don't have a sprinkler then take a garden sprayer or if you can get a hose to them just wet everything down really good.Unless it is a really hard frost you should be ok.
