Good grief. Can I just cook the lure?

Going out after lake trout tomorrow with my youngest daughter.  We're running downriggers, and I am new to this.  I just bought the recommended lures, and they are larger than a lot of Brook Trout I catch.

Lake trout rock!  Average size in my lake is over 15 pounds and 34 inches long. If you are catching fish and they stop hitting MOVE they may be hitting 1/2 mile away. Remember that a 20 pound fish may be over 20 years old..... take a pic and let it go please.
