Has anyone had any dealings with easycabindesigns.com and if so are the plans provided sufficient enough to take to the building inspector?

I have no idea on what those plans are like. They do make the claim that they meet building codes.

It would be nice to be able to see more photos of cabins that have actually been owner built. There only seems to be one.

What size cabin are you thinking of building?

Im wanting to build a 16x24 with a loft. OAL of 16x32 8' porch with a loft over porch also.

Sounds like you could use John's Little House plans as a basis. Plans can be easily modified for length. Adding width is a little more complicated but to assist with that John has a free 16' wide foundation plan for altering the Little House plan set.

Things like changes to rafters are no big deal and any one of a number of folks here would be happy to help you get them sized right.

You might need to redraw some things here and there but John's plans come with permission to modify, unlike most other plans. Also you can make as many copies as you want/need at no extra cost. Plus there's help, advice, etc here from the forum members.
