I absolutely humilated myself in an interview. I had a massive brain fart and just could not stop myself from rambling, Maybe I had a stroke....that has to be it!  My tongue taste so much like foot.

Sorry I missed this    but I just read the good news - you got one of the jobs!  Congratulations...  I haven't had too many interviews in my life - but did have one a few years ago for the manager position of a stand-alone clinic for the VA - my ex-manager told me to apply for it & a friend asked me to apply for it (she was working there as an RN after I'd encouraged her to apply a few years before). 

Anyway, the last question they asked was to state 3 attributes I would describe myself with - Glenn had told me I was authoritative ie knowledgeable.  When they asked the question, I couldn't remember whether it was authoritative or authoritarian (bossy) & said "Glenn, my husband, says I'm authoritarian."   

I kept going over & over that one in my mind...  I was working parttime & my ex-manager knew I didn't want to work fulltime, in fact, I'd told her I didn't want to work fulltime when she mentioned the job to me & she happened to be on the interviewing committee.  Anyway, I didn't get the job, and was glad I didn't - would have been too stressful.  Job interview process is nerve wracking!  And they've turned the interviews into state-of-the-art ordeals.

I absolutely humiliated myself tuesday during an interview.....

The lady interviewig me had a rather thick beautiful accent. However with that accent  at times I interrupted her thinking it was a natural break in the discussion and this is the point I add my experience. This was the begining of my fall. I was not going to recover!

She was begining to ask me about Suppositories and medication administration regarding them.....My mind went from that to ENEMA....but I could not recall the word ENEMA......I could no longer hear her talking to me. Cause I could not recall the word ENEMA....she was not even talking about ENEMAS......but I was check listing in my mind things with that area and how her follow question might be about ENEMAS so I could have a nice fluid answer.

It should have went like this....But I tuned her out and still have no idea what she was asking about Suppositories.....

"Ms Hunter, have you or do you feel comfortable in administering suppositories? and which ones have you administered?

Yes, I have administered Phenegran per dr orders. It was given because the pt was having a sever migraine with nause and vomiting. Phengran can be administered by tablet, injection or suppository. Generally in an ER setting it is pushed in an IV. But for those like the patient with the migrane she did not have an IV and suppository is the best route because blood supply in that area. The relief a patient feels is almost immediate...."

You gotta laugh at that, honestly it is hilarious. Wonder why it's never come up in any of those medical sitcoms. It would be perfect for "Scrubs"...if it's still even on TV.
