New Lens, brokem camera

We went to Williamsburg yesterday. The gunsmith shop was closed so I decided to go to my favorite camera shop. Thats always a mistake

On the way, we ran aceoss another Great Dane so we stopped and talked



I had my D40 and mt L series 70-200 lens
When we went into the camera shop, I saw an L series 100-400 on sale
I talked to the owner and he offered to give me darn near what I paid for my lens, on trade... I couldn't stand it and walked out the proud owner.

Took a few pictures and went home. My poor wife took the camera in and when I started to put it away, the rear LCD panel was cracked. I don't know if the warranty will cover it yet, but they are expensive. So the new lens is on my spare camera...Jane is pouting even though I havn't said anything about it...and I'm not happy

Yea, I'd stop and chat up that Great Dane too, especially the one with the blond ponytail. 

Too bad about the camera, but looks like you got a good lens deal.  I sold all of my fancy lenses and now take the easy way out.
