Rational Sense.

Rational sense seems to be lost here in Texas. (btw this is a rant thread)

First if one does not carry the mark of their ss# on their arm or forehead, you can not buy a soda in this state (yes, wee bit of an exaggeration, but hey I am irritated).

Few examples of no rational sense.

Went to the Dr. and the mailing address I gave for my home does not match the one in the system of the insurance company. I see the issue. The medical insurance company used my husbands work address. One would think this is not a problem but oh it is. If things DO NOT match exactly you may not get service or be asked t pay up front and then its up to you to go collect from the insurance company.  Just try to change the address....Almost impossible when its been etched in gold.

ATMOS (natural gas comany) says I am not who I say I am cause my name and SS does not match exactly.  Not that its not close but it does not match exactly. The computer says its not me! I assure you it is, always has been and if there was a real issue the home loan would not be closing in 2 weeks.  So, I say with husband sitting with me lets just put the natural gas in his name only. They said NO has to be in both. What? his name matches and he has excellent credit......ok then I will take the next option here, the one that people use who do not give up their ss# I will pay the deposit. "NO" we know you have a ss #! I said are you sure cause according to you I don't.

Unless you are a CPA I do not like giving out my SS. It says on my card (a very old card) NOT USED FOR ID.

   For years, my wife has handled the requests for her ss# by just making one up for them on the spot----she has never been called on it yet. The only time she uses her real one is for the IRS and payroll records.

A new federal law just went into place.

Hence the issues. ugh. "Fair Accurate Credit Transaction Act"
