This most interesting Stratfor article is a review of the US and other major world powers from the point of view of geography and how it has had a strong influence on not only the formation of national culture but the economic and political systems that the country chooses.

The message for the US is rather upbeat compared to the other major players. :D :D :D

Current events and political/financial actions make that article seen a bit overly optimistic.  I guess it's a wait and see thing.
