Country Plans Design owner builders in Hawaii

Hi All,
This might just a wee bit off topic, but I didn't  know where else to put it.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there are any CPD homes being built in Hawaii, particularly on the Big Island?

I'm moving back to the Puna District of Big Island in August. Land is becoming a little more reasonable now, so at 77, it's now or never.  I still qualify for a VA loan guarantee, but have to buy the land first. Going  for a super simple design with less than a 900 sq ft pad.

I can think of at least one over there somewhere.  I don't know which Island though.

Hi Gene,

I'm also looking at CPD to build a house in Fern Acres.  I bought 2 acres there last month but will probably not build for another year.  I'm interested in knowing if someone else has built a CPD in the Puna area and if there were any problems with getting permits.  I'm interested in a 2 story or 1 1/2 story so I have room for family when they come to visit.
