Cool

I knew there would be many of the military and police who would not follow orders and attack their fellow countrymen if ordered to do so by the government.  These guys know what is possibly coming up after the looting of the treasury by the politicians is complete and have sworn to uphold the Constitution.  They remember and understand that their duty is to their country - not to unconstitutional orders from the criminals running the country.

one can only hope that they remember the oath they took was to the constitution and not to the politico in charge. if push comes to shove it is not easy to stand up to the police or army even if you are constitutionally correct.
unless we recognize who's really in charge, things aren't going to get better.

You are right, Dan- that was a point there in reading some of their blog.

It is being debated by some on where their loyalty should be, and there is no determining which ones think which way.  At least many have a clue.

Sassy

My dad was an officer in the Air Force for close to 30 yrs.  He made the statement to me during one of our "debates" that he never voted for a president during his entire military career.  He inferred that if he voted for someone & that person did not make it, his allegiance to the president who made it might not be 100%.  He stated "it was my duty to follow the Commander in Chief without question."  He was of the WWII era, served in Vietnam, etc.  He didn't even mention the Constitution...

At the time we had this discussion, I wasn't aware that he had actually sworn to uphold the Constitution, so didn't have a response.

As much as I'd like to belive there are enough police and military that belive in upholding the constitution, the sad reality is those that do will likely suffer the same fate as the rest of the us or worse. All we can really hope for is that those in power will fight among themselves enough to distract them from doing too much harm to the rest of us. I do not see a united government or any one group that seems to dominate. I see a mess of arguing money grabers too busy lining their pockets to see whats really going on around them. Keep you heads down folks it's going to be an interseting year.

I agree with you Scott. Talk is cheap and 99% of the officers are going to do what they're told. Unfortunately, and this goes back to an earlier thread, the winner in this mess is going to be the most violent and well organized.

These here is God's finest scupturings! And there ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here!

Thinking about it, I think you are right, Scott.
