in fact, I can think of very few things, and no people (regardless of situation) that I hate.  But, Ern, and quite a few others here, I hate (read that "love") you!  I just got finished looking at your blog again Ern, showing my wife (not the whole thing however), and told her, "See!  Just looking at this makes me feel stupid and lazy about even thinking about staying in this house, when we could do this just 20 miles up the road!"  It just keeps the fire going inside.  Keeps me thinking.  I will try as hard as I can to keep my mind on the current task at hand (especially with the economy where it is), but if and when we work out the deal on our big house, maybe we will start thinking about our own little Eden more.  I have thought for years now, that we should call it "Peasantville Acres".  Wife is still up in the air about that I think!

Seriously, thanks to all of you who I hate (read that "love"), for although I do not covet your happenings, it keeps me thinking about the possibility of our own.  I HATE (read that "LOVE") you guys!

BTW Ern, I would like to see a photo of your cob tub.  Don't know if it is on the blog somewhere, like I said, I haven't looked at everything yet.  We have been wanting to build a cob oven for years, and now that we are in our own house again we may do it this spring.  It would be a good home  :)school project with the kids.

Feels good to be hated, Jens. :) We had quite a few problems with the cob tub, as we mistakenly designed the bathroom very small and with no exterior walls for ventilation.. We finally gave it a couple coats of Thoroseal several months ago, and it's been fine so far. We are thinking about replacing it with a cast iron freestanding tub sometime down the road...

No, 'fraid not... It's not much to look at. :) Just a basic shape in a three-wall niche, and I molded a soap holder into one of the corners.
