After going to the funeral home and taking care of a few details for my neighbor, Jane and I went to Williamsburg for the Grand Illumination.

Near froze my butt off but it was awe inspiring. There were 148000 people there by ticket sales and the town isn't very big.

They had 3 unbelievable fireworks shows going at the same time.

I took over 800 pictures but here are a couple:







These here is God's finest scupturings! And there ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here!

All right, I could Google that but then I'd be the only one here with the answer... what is the Grand Illumination in celebration of, Peter?  Sure appears grand.
