I discovered a recent arrival at our Walmart today. Maranatha Almond Butter! It is superb! (I love almonds)

I've seen other brands here and there but at twice the cost. Kroger has some other brand at over $8, same size jar. Walmart sells the 12 oz for $4.19 which is half the price on Maranatha's website. I've heard that Walmart drives a hard bargain from their suppliers, but Walmart must have had them by the nuts to get that good a price.  ;D

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

I have done so much with so little for so long that today I can do almost anything with absolutely nothing.

I guess I could use a bit more company in the nut house. [crz]

I love almond butter, too, Don, but have never seen it in a wal-mart.  Usually have find it at the health food store, and there is is as you say, $8-9 a pop.  We usually make our own in our vitamix now... buy the nuts in bulk and use them in everything.  I think nut allergies would have to be the most depressing thing... those poor folks miss out on the good stuff!  That was one of the few things I could eat during the pregnancy with Sylvia when I had gestational diabetes without making my blood sugar go crazy.
