Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

I was trying to boycott all corporate farms who reduced their sizes and sold at the same price but it seems the last one has fallen so now Dreyers has again reduced the size so I will boycott them - 1.5 quarts for the price of 1/2 gallon.

In other Icecream news, we have a new Riteaid/Thrifty tore -- their ice cream is 1.75 quarts but is as cheap as $1.99 on sale. 

Brand wise - I like Breyers for a clean taste without chemical pastes and expanders added.

Thrifty will have to do for my non-boycotted brand now.  It's pretty good.
