Cops: Woman Battered Beau With Toilet Seat
Floridian, 18, attacked after finding boyfriend smoking crack in loo

JULY 14--Meet Kimberlee Ann Cole and Joel Goldsmith. The Florida woman, 18, allegedly assaulted her boyfriend with a toilet seat after finding him smoking crack in a bathroom of their home Friday afternoon. Cole told cops she battered Goldsmith, 24, after he "refused to give her the drugs," according to an arrest affidavit prepared by Fort Pierce police. Goldsmith "refused to stop smoking the drugs and Ms. Cole hit [him] with the toilet seat," the affidavit notes. As the couple--parents to an eight-month-old boy--scuffled in the bathroom, Goldsmith dropped a cocaine rock in the shower and Cole tried to wash it down the drain. Responding to a 911 call placed by a female roommate of the pair, police found blood on the bathroom's walls, floor, and toilet. They also recovered a broken toilet seat, though the affidavit does not indicate whether it was broken over Goldsmith's head or was in disrepair prior to the July 11 incident. In the shower, investigators found a "small amount of a substance" which field tested positive for cocaine. Cole and Goldsmith, pictured in the mug shots below, were charged, respectively, with domestic battery and cocaine possession. Goldsmith, who would not tell cops what happened in the bathroom, suffered two lacerations on his forehead (and smaller cuts) during the confrontation

Now I suppose they will be making you have training  a background check to buy a chainsaw.  Two week waiting period could have been good.  But in the mean time -- what if you wanted to cut firewood? hmm

You suppose I could get one of those toilet seats in a pump version??? Looks like they're rather effective on crackheads.

Those over and under toilet seats "sound " a bit dangerous.

Other than that, Mr. Mossberg showed up today......and two of his cousins...

Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson............nuff said ;D

  Thanks, Peternap.

Looks like I get posession of my new friends Monday. I haven't held any sort of a gun in years. The gun shop offers a one on one course in gun safety, handling , cleaning, etc.  Considering I'm a novice, a short class like that might prevent me from shooting myself in the foot.

Just a last thought......I have an emergency kit in my boat. Flares, flags, mirror,.....etc......and a 12ga. flare gun; the shells are red phosphorus and white magnesium. And anyone can buy these things "with no training or background check". I'll bet they're more effective than pepper spray!  :D

"the shells are red phosphorus and white magnesium"

Hmmmm the perps would be easier to track if you popped one and they tried to get away.....especially at night.

Considerations, I really don't know if one might glow in the dark after being hit by a phosphorus/magnesium shell......my guess is you could hear the screaming for a long, long way.

Are you a DEA agent, Sparks?  Maybe you could be trained by one.  Gun safety. rofl

My old dead uncle taught me -- I didn't figure I needed the class.

Sparks is this like the one you had on the boat.  Is no wonder people end up shooting themselves.  Forget they are real?

That's a good idea and shows how level headed you are Sparks. Way too many of us think we are descended from Danial Boone and don't need a class. I take several classes a year and still need more IMHO.

The flare guns are my secret weapon. I carry one when in National Parks where firearms are prohibited. A flare gun BTW is not a firearm. It is a signaling device required by the US Coast Guard (On some boats...but that's irrelevant ;D)

You might want to pick up a few pencil flares also. They are small and inexpensive and very effective. It's not how tough you look, it's how tough you can be if need be! ;)

I was more of the Fred Flintstone class.  i could probably use the class but don't care to socialize that much -- no time.

I do try to remember what I was taught each time I pick up a gun though and haven't shot myself in the foot yet. ::)

Usually if I am going to shoot myself in the foot it isn't with a gun. It's with my mouth. That explains the old saying "Sometimes it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Words to live by.
I have done so much with so little for so long that today I can do almost anything with absolutely nothing.

glenn kangiser

It's possible I may have done that ....maybe once. ::)

I'm not real positive I really did it, desdawg.  I made a mistake once before when I doubted myself.  I'm trying not to let that happen again. ::)
