I didn't go to the farm today. I haven't felt well this week and Sassy's post just added fuel to the fire, so I stayed here and got a few things done that I had been putting off. It gives me a little spare time to grumble too.

I ordered a  Katadyn Base Camp Filter today for the drinking water at the farm. I don't mind drinking what we have but I worry about the Grandkids. Each cartridge does 200 gallons of water and it's a fraction of the cost of bottle water.

I also filled Jane's pool. I pumped the water out of the creek this year instead of buying it. The price went up because of fuel and I'm in cheap mode anyway. Filled it with 5 dollars of gas in my Ag pump, 30 dollars of chemicals gave me crystal clear, low mineral water. (as opposed to $400.00 delivered water)

Hope you are feeling better, Peter...  just a little update, my brother is doing fantastic - looks better, has more energy - with 6 blocked vessels & 3 @ 100% - there's got to be some improvement in his energy level...

Did I miss something?  I don't know which decision the Supreme Court needs to decide....    I usually keep up to date on stuff   

How about Dennis Kucininch's 16 articles of impeachment against Bush & Cheney & co.   Anybody following that?  Sorry to change topic...  probably needs a new thread...

Thanks Peter - I had read about that earlier today some...  don't remember the link that was sent to me.   

BTW, Kucinich's impeachment bill has 35 articles, not 16 

I talked to my SIL this afternoon - my brother is hurting more today than he has been & he's also really upset that for the next couple weeks he'll have to check his blood sugar & give himself insulin injections 4x's/day...  whenever a person goes through such a big operation, even if the person isn't diabetic, doesn't eat anything they still usually have elevated blood sugar levels until their body recovers from the shock of the surgery.  When I worked in ICU we had patients on insulin drips due to the sugars being in the 300-400's...  only way we could keep it under control - that means fingersticks every hour while on the drip...  I used to feel so sorry for the patients, their fingers would be so sore... 

You would think my brother would be use to needles, but he won't even get novacaine for any dental procedures he hates needles that much, so this is going to be pretty traumatic for him...
