While I was out buying the foodsaver, I went shopping at the winemakers shop. Bought a couple of airlocks, .79 and I got a deluxe one for .99. A bottle of yeast, a stopper with a hole to use the airlock and my wife bought a crack cocaine lighter to singe meringue/ ???

But I got the wrong yeast. The yeast I got just said basic yeast.

Most "HomeGrown" fruit don't need yeast, It comes natural on the skin. Commercially washed fruit needs yeast because the they spray detergent on it and kill the microbes.
The wife "Racked" the Muscadine today and it looks good :). Missed out on the strawberry this year but we did get a good batch of blackberry that already got "drunk" I think that would be the proper term in this situation?!?! [crz]
Found a good stand of Rasberries this spring and can't hardly wait til next spring and get some before the Bears eat them all >:(
We use 5gal buckets with bubblers and then bottle with balloons to finish fermenting before more long term storage.
I cut it three times and it's still too short.
