While it's hard to feel too sorry for these guys, I think it is telling how things are affecting the other side.

My hanky is soaking wet already. I wish I had some of those problems.
I have done so much with so little for so long that today I can do almost anything with absolutely nothing.

I feel real sorry for them. :P

I am wondering which way this is going to swing this summer though. We sure aren't at the apex yet.

I was watching various oil/gas projections this morning. Best guess, short term 4.50ish this summer maybe backing up to 4.00 for a while.
That jacks the price of everything up even before the gouging starts.

Real Estate isn't going to turn around until we come up with a better system to judge credit worthiness. That ain't happening soon.

Manufacturing....going to India and China.

Areas that rely on Tourism....I don't think so.

Yard work.....The Mexicans have a noose on that and besides, how are the under employed middle class going to afford someone to cut their grass. You ever see what these guys charge?

Go to work for the Government.....Hiring freeze...Hell, in most areas now, even the cops are having patrols restricted and....Heaven forbid...Here, they're not allowed to use their air conditioning. ;D

Complicated Economy.
Complicated Problems.

How is it going to change Americans? My guess is that a new generation will have to learn an old art that most of us on this board already know. Old fashioned
conservation and recycling...recycling, what a stylish word. To most it means tossing the plastic with a 2 on it in the proper bin and the cans in the aluminum container.

It means something different to me !

Yeah, I know, my mouth runneth over tonight. :)

Jeez, what a shame, a little empathy training, maybe?   Not

What no sympathy? Have you any idea what it costs to fuel a leer jet these days?

considerations

"Leer" being the operative word.

peternap

I guess compromise in that case would be, trade the jet for a hot air balloon. It would never run out of fuel.
