Trailer brake repair?

Came back from camping yesterday and it seems the trailer brakes have failed.  Trailer seems to either have no brakes, or tends to buck as brakes seem to grab / release.  Controller seems to be working normally.

We towed down a bunch of long hills this trip, and the brakes are old.  I suspect that I may have glazed the pads or otherwise hurt the media.  No sounds of grinding.

I can't inspect without pulling bearings, and I have other much less tedious things to do  :P

Do any of the franchise places (Brake Masters, Brake Stop, etc.)  do trailers, or do they only service vehicles?

Suggestions?

Thanks...

How about an RV dealer (trailer type) - probably electric brakes I assume.  They take different parts than normal vehicle brakes.

and the one place I would have recommended closed as the principles retired a few years back. Have no idea who is good/best.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Thanks... I was hoping to avoid the RV places as they are swamped due to the season.  I previously used a mobile RV repair person who was ethical and reasonably priced, but he has retired.  :-\

Don... there is an RV place on 4th street that I sometimes use... I guess I will have them take a look at it.  I was hoping for a one day turn around via a brake franchise, but since I don't need the trailer any time soon I guess I can leave it on their lot....
