Yesterday, I came across a book at our local library; "Superinsulated Design and Construction", by Thomas Lenchek, Chris Mattock and John Raabe.  Is this fellow "our" John Raabe.  If so, congratulations John.

After looking it over, I realized I had checked it out a couple of years ago; but that was back before I joined the forum and became more familiar with the members and moderators.

In all fairness, I did use the search function, as I thought I'd seen a listed of recommended construction books for forum users.  But, I didn't find anything along this title, or by John.

I think that is one and the same.  John did a Superinsulated Design Book.

I looked up the book... it's out of print, available used through vendors on www.amazon.com
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.
