A while back I posted about my Whizzer.

Well....my wife couldn't stand it any longer so week before last, we ordered an 08/model, canary yellow, Whizzer N.E. :). We can pick it up today.  Now everyone can point and say "Look at those crazy old Nap's". ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yep Peter I think it is only right that she should have a new toy as well. I would imagine she doesn't enjoy the mill and trailer that well. :D

LOL....I expect your tight John! ;D
Give her a week and she'll have it all decked out in Jessica Fletcher style! c*

You don't have to name all of your machines, Stink

My kids would beg to differ on that... they name everything, from stuffed animals to blenders to our vehicles.

I have two thoughts on this "Whizzer"

First I think of an asthmatic, then I think of Louise from the Jeffersons.... :)

MountainDon

Name??  ???  I've only had one vehicle/machine that had a name. Victor the Volvo racer.

If those cool Whizzers belonged to us we'd probably be calling them "Mine" and "Yours", or maybe the "Yellow One" and the "Black One".  :-\   OMMV   ;D

I'd love to have one but I'd get squished by a 4WD or a semi the first time I tried to ride it to town.

Scott, I have a philosophy about that. I assume everyone has insurance. If I ger squished and die.....my wife will become very rich and I'll be dead and won't worry about it.

But if I live, I can buy another farm or 2. c*

Stinkerbell, they cost 1,600.00.

After a quick lesson today, we went for a 20 mile ride, ate dinner and came home in rush hour traffic. The wife did fine!

Had three "graveyard" ponies. Thanks for a guy in Bayonne NJ in a 76 Monte Carlo that ended one of thems lives by making one of those moving stop sign manuvers.  Survived obviously but waited a year and bought another. Then decided that i needed a tractor instead. Sold it to my BIL. Still could use it if I wanted  but haven't felt the need. Be careful Peter they actually don't see you all the time.

Willy

Wow I had one of those when I was 15 years old. It even looks the same sorta just not as brand new shinny but it was a blast to ride. Got pulled over by a cop and he said stay off the streets till I got a licence?!! I paid around $25.00 for it cause it was not running and got it going the same day I brought it home. It had a dirty carb thats all, mine was painted black. Course that was 41 years ago but it brings back some good memories. Mark

I put one of thos electric air horns like the Mexicans use on the Taco trucks on my Suzuki 500 (I know -- Rice Burner).  Sometimes it will keep someone from hitting you.

I probably shouldn't tell this ....but ....

I wear a backpack when I ride. I've found that by attaching my holster (With revolver) to one of the straps on the back, does wonders in keeping people behind me polite. :)

Hmmm. Think what courtesy that new pump scattergun on a sling over your back would inspire.

Reminds me somewhat of a Sicilian squirrel gun. :)  "Saw it in Godfather II"

A Lupara = wolf shot.

I believe it's generally a sawn off double barreled shotgun. A 'hammer gun' where each barrel has it's own manually cocked hammer and thusly can be safely carried loaded.

With the start of the summer 4H programs I thought I would show you the addition to Redoverfarm of my son.  With the cost of feed I shutter to think what he will have in these by fall show's.  Now they are about 50-60#.  They should max out by August at 295-300#  The little blue pig is my pet. Actually she is pretty clean in this picture but she hasn't been in the pen that long.

Peter, how do the Whizzer's do on dirt/gravel roads?

What size are the tires?

peternap

It depends on your speed Don. They are more stable than a bicycle on dirt and gravel....but not as stable as a motorcycle.

They come with either 24" or 26" tires. Both Jane and I have the 26".
