I don't think I need to look at the link, I am probably guilty.  I think pretty much every damn agencey and worker needs to do better.  AND I think the taxpayers CAN do better by demanding change.  OK, so I like all the democratic and most of the republican presidential runners but I can't bring myself to trust another republican, I am suspicious of obama because he is a distant relative of Cheney, and I don't believe in accidents any more.  I think Hilary is great but I am sick of her....  I like edwards because I do recognize that the corporations have taken over our government and are using the american workers as corporate fodder and then throwing them out withthe traash, and I believe he understands that although we need corporations we also need responsible corporate policy.  BUT I have a hard (impossible) time trusting a lawyer too.  Where do they get these candidates???  Isn't there a simple minded good hearted smart farmer, construction worker, or other real person available?

WOW I watched the u tube link, ( i have never watched a utube before this) It appears that congress is willing to sign away our right to free speech, making it a crimminal activity to raise hell over inept politicians, their agencies, and policies and procedures.  I had a dream last night I moved to China man I think maybe I am not moving anywhere, instead those policies and procedures and LAWS have arrived here and have been welcomed into our legal code by the corporate sponsered government.  The time fo rtalking is over the government has made talking aginst the law now it is time for everyone to put away the pocketbooks and wallets because that is the ONLY legal option left for effective protest.

Ron Paul is as close as you will get to a peoples choice.  He is trying to force his way in to the inner circle -- They are trying their best to ignore him -- If he actually gets in, I'm afraid they have ways to deal with that, or the traitors in Congress and the judicial system will tie up everything he does.

Canada is right there just behind them.

I will continue my thought crimes assuming I am not worth their trouble.  I would rather be locked up or dead, than sell out and agree with them.

I doubt that it matters much who gets intot hat inner circle.  What is going to make the difference is consumers grasping thier power with enthusiasum and stop funding this BS.  Once the people show the corporations whi is the real power the govt. will have to straighten themselves out too it's always about the money. NOTHING else matters.

Look at the automobile companies - they've had the chance for years to make a truly marketable, competitive product...  the US people stop buying their product because they can find a better product from a foreign country...  what happens?  The gov't (read our tax $$$$) bails out the companies!     Look at the real estate mess...  the S&L's etc.

I'm wondering, if the "thought crime" bill passes, will talking about disbanding the Federal Reserve & the IRS & other federal programs be considered illegal?  That would include Ron Paul... 

Everyone needs to contact their senators & let them know that the United States citizen will not tolerate this!  We made a little bit of headway with the illegal alien fiasco, I think    Because millions of people spoke out & it scared congress...   

Our little "off-topics" section on CP will probably be illegal...

Scary stuff but this sort of thing has been happening for years. They just want to get it on the books. My question is this. If a law is passed that contridicts the constitution is that law valid? And could it be argued that since the constitution superceeds all other laws that these laws can't be enforced? In other words if you appealed a conviction to the supreme court would they rule that you don't have freedom of speach? If they did they would be saying that the constitution no longer has the power of law.

You'd be convicted of questioning the law before you got a chance - after all you are thinking of going against the system...  remember, they got rid of habeas corpus - we are no longer innocent until proven guilty if we are deemed a threat to those in charge...

I can remember the tianamen square protests in the late 80's and the Chinese govt. beating down those protesters and thinking jeesh I am glad I am an american we can at least have peaceful protests.  Then the corporations started trading with these govts that have no regard for human rights whatsoever and guess what they like it, they think it is great business practice and see no reason at all why the entire world should not bow down to thier almighty corporate power as long as they get the govt to support them.  I knew we were in trouble back when the high school kids in my town used to hold out signs saying "don't buy gas today" and then after 9/11 the govt. determined that is terrorist activity, yep interruption of commerce.
