What length bathroom vanities are being used in the 14x24 plans?  I found a good deal, 40% off on bathroom vanities and I am trying to figure out which would work better 30" or 36".

All of John's plans are quite flexible. There's no one way or even best way to layout the interior spaces. It really comes down to what you want. Either 30" or 36" would work. Considering that it's a small cabin I'd be going for the smaller size myself. But that's just my personal opinion.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Your wife would probably prefer the longer one, particularly if the has hair stuff and face stuff she likes to use on a daily basis... got to have a place to put stuff.   ;)

But if it were me, I'd go with a pedestal sink because I think they're pretty, and they're cheaper (usually) and because it would help me keep from cluttering up the space with stuff. :-/

Well, Homegrown, you are definately NOT like my wife. It matters not how big the area, she is going to clutter it up regardless!! (I'm pretty sure it's in her genes.)

I have purchased two pedestal sinks (one with hardware) off of craigslist.com for less than the cost of one new one.  I will build tall narrow shelves next to them in each of the two bathrooms to store towels, soap, sheets, toilet paper and stuff in, with a couple of square baskets for small stuff.
The reason I went with those sinks, is after 14 years of living in the last house, I still had old tiles and paint under my sink in my bathroom, and we won't talk about what was under the kids' sink in their bathroom.
I have determined that I'm just not good at under-sink storage.  Under the kitchen sink wasn't much better.

I'm not a girlie-girl though, and don't do much more than brush my teeth and comb my hair in there.

Also, I like the fact that it will be easy to clean around and under and will act to make the bathroom feel bigger.

Living in a camper for a year really brings to light how little space you can live with.

:)That's why I suggested the pedestal sink... there is really no place for anything on them... even clutterbugs have a hard time junking them up!

We recently stayed at a high end condo that had a pedestal sink with a stack of 16" wide shelves built into the wall nearby.  These happened to be made of granite.  My plan is to make a laminate shelf for each member of the family to keep their hygiene items on and hope the sink stays clear.
