http://www.energystar.gov/   Energy Star website main page. From there you can get energy use ratings in these major categories;
Appliances,  Heating & Cooling,  Home Electronics,  Lighting and  Office Equipment

Those are further broken down on their pages. You can either view the tables online in a web page or download the tables in an Excel spreadsheet. The way the tables are set up once you scroll the headings disappear. That's most annoying.

[Some of our more computer literate members and guests may already know this; so the info below is for everyone else.]

If you download and open the **.XLS spreadsheet you can freeze the header position, the header being the row with the column titles. That way you always have the reference there above each column. Once the sheet is open in Excel highlight the entire row below the header row. You do that by placing the cursor over the row number on the left and left clicking once. For example, the headers are in row 3 in the Refigerators and Freezers sheet; so you highlight row 4 to set the pane freeze. Then go up to the menubar and click on "Window". In the drop down box click on "Freeze Panes". Save the file to retain what you've just done.

BTW there's a lot of other energy information there.
