Hot Water

We are trying to figure out how to get at the least some warm water to take a shower while we are building. Our existing cabin does not have a shower or water heater. Is there some inexpensive water heaters available. It just might get a little unbareable to take a cold one in an Ozark winter. We will install some kind of shower stall.

Coleman makes a little water heater that runs off canisters of propane or as an option you can hook it to a tank.  I think Amanda has one.

Yes, I have the Coleman.

The rechargeable pump lasts for at least a pound's worth of propane--reputedly dozens if not over a hundred gallons..

And it can get water pretty hot.  I mostly use it for the washing machine.

It works a whole lot better if the water's pretty clean, if you have the pump with "this side up" up, if you aren't trying to pump too far.

Not sure it would be a good idea for all the hot water for a cabin, but it is fine for how I use it.  And certainly if you keep replenishing the tub you are drawing from, you can pump water until your rechargeable battery runs out of juice.

I'd think that the Zodi might have some problems with the hose getting in the way of the burner.
