Crimoney... First I heard of it was in the Burger King this morning.....[ouch]

It just somehow doesn't seem proper that smoked cooked pig flesh should be in my Ice Cream Sundae.....and with a cherry to boot... [waiting]...

Wait a minute... not sure on that... maybe ..close but no cherry.... [noidea'

Yes. What amounts to a "smoked and cooked porcine full-thickness skin graft in a frozen suspension of bovine lactaction with healthy dose of sugar to make it even more palatable. What more could we want?! Bon appetit  :P

glenn kangiser

Thanks for the proper medical description, Doc.  [ouch]

Should go good with my cow bone for my tooth implant.... [waiting]

Yum, makes me want to pop down to my local BK right now ... oops, hang on a moment, ... I'm in Indonesia and Ramadan starts tomorrow - that may no be the most tactful thing for me to ask for :)

(specially since they have this awful concept here: "Beef Bacon". "Chicken Bacon" etc  <shudder> )

I think that is some of the East Indians, Ben.... [ouch]

They likely would not like me... Beefsteak has been joining us for breakfast and dinner....

I started Breakfast this morning - onions, peppers, misc other things and Sassy joined in.  Our chickens supplied some eggs... had our own beef in there too... [hungry]

Added some saffron and tarragon for good measure.

...and since Beefsteak is a regular dinner guest I thought we could pick up a propane barbecue as it takes more propane to light a wood fire the way I do it than it would to cook dinner.... faster and easier too... maybe I could add a can of wood chips for smoke... [noidea'

Oh Beefy Boy, I'm missing (out on) you .... drool

I went to the mall tonight to get some food (I'm impersonating a bachelor at the moment and have no urge to cook for just myself) and went to the German joint. I got the "Ramadan Special" - order a Pork Schnitzel, get a Chicken Schnitzel. Sauerkraut was good though :)

glenn kangiser

German... that's pretty close to Lithuanian Chris....[noidea'

Well, we had Whitlock and his wife come over and try some more Beefsteak Barbecue tonight..... we all agreed it was great.  Had a little problem with the safety devices on the grill but Whitlock insisted on reading the instructions and finding out what to do to fix it..... all the while in the background his wife was telling us what to do because she already knew... but we were so into fixing it we didn't hear her I guess..... [ouch]

At any rate we were finally successful and dinner was served.... t-bones and rib steak tonight.... yum.. [hungry]

Sassy got fresh vegetables from the garden and we had some of them grilled too...  [cool]

On the way home today.....

Oh yeah.. forgot to mention ... barbecued twice today... breakfast and late lunch.....

Fresh garden vegetables and reheated the steak over the searing burner.....nice and toasty outside and still red to pink inside.... [hungry]

We too are having problems with venison jumping through our yard.I almost took one out on my way in, and earlier in the day,my girl friend and our son almost took one out.  ??? I think the wild life has gone crazy.  [scared]

glenn kangiser

Oh, you mean those large garden eating rodents?... hmm

Our dogs do a pretty good job of keeping them away though every so often one will come in and help itself to some of the strawberries on the roof.... [waiting]

Sassy told me yesterday that the  barbecue was a good investment.

[bbq]

Yay.... I did good.  :)

When it is about 75 all night long it is not fun for her to have to heat up the cabin more cooking.  The bbq keeps that heat outside yet it is ready instantly.

That is a possibility.  [hungry]

Got this big sucker up today... [noidea'

Probably around 6000 lbs (calculated)... careful planning , measuring and placement of vehicles allowed me to lift and place this... or it would have been a nightmare if we had to get big machinery in here not to mention cost.  Right at my load capacity for 12 feet from CL of crane pivot so could do it if I kept it close.  The traffic flagger was a great help keeping traffic flowing and the city guys off of my case while I worked as quickly as I could adjusting for proper level and almost running out of capacity as I tried to lift it off of the truck rack before I could retract my boom to get more lifting power.   [cool]

Of course the power pole was in the way but we got around that too.

Well... I about chewed a hole in my underwears doing it, but it all went well and in just a few hours the pain was over.... [waiting]

Placed it, unloaded the rest of the stuff from the truck then came back and welded it up so I could get out of there and let the other crews have their way with it..... now I don't have to worry about it any more....... :)

Got something possibly useful here.

An example of how the pros form up concrete steps. :)

Just out here building another strip mall so the masses can go shopping.  [ouch]

Oh.

I thought you dragged those home.    ;D
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

glenn kangiser

Arrrrghhh Obviously you have been to the underground complex.....

No... I don't drag concrete stairs home..... [ouch]

Maybe steel ones a time or two.... [noidea'

OK... I told Whitlock about the Bacon Sundae and he was appalled that I didn't at least try it to say I did it... at least once... [waiting]

Well, I have been getting heartburn from Taco Bell every night from the chili powder in the ground brown stuff that looks like beef..... so, I decided to go to Burger King and try for a different type of heartburn on the way home, ...also this morning I picked up a pack of extra heavy duty Tums from Chevron.... [idea]

So... there you have it...... ???

PEG688

So, was it a good thing?

Nice work on the big lift!  8)
When in doubt , build it stout with something you know about .

glenn kangiser

Thanks, PEG.  That was a challenge to get that big trellis up there working at about full capacity.  Had to use the ol' cranium for something besides a hat rack on that one...... [waiting]

Now... the Sundae.... I thought you'd never ask... [noidea'

OK... You know how a chocolate sundae tastes like a chocolate sundae and a cherry sundae tastes like a cherry sundae and a strawberry sundae tastes like a strawberry sundae....etc...etc...etc.... ???

OK... a bacon sundae tastes like your breakfast bacon fell into your chocolate and caramel sundae but if you lick the ice cream off of it, it still tastes like bacon. [shocked]

Admittedly, they do give you more bacon in your sundae than they do on your bacon burger. [bbq]

The guy serving me said they made them but it was weird.  I said , well, I'm weird too I guess so I will have to give it a try.   :P

So much for the Bacon Sundae... a once in a lifetime experience I think... [ouch]

I  got the top layer on this one yesterday.  It's bigger than the other one by quite a bit but easier since it is only one piece at a time.

Welded about 8 hours on it yesterday.  Probably about 14 hours or more to go.  :)
