How wide should my "16 foot" wide attic be?

I'm using attic trusses, and T&G flooring. Knowing that I lose 1/2" per sheet, and knowing that I will need 1/2" extra to get the last sheet in place I'm thinking 15-11 between the wall studs is the right number.

Thoughts?
