Tomorrow the General Assembly convenes in Virginia.
I will be in daily meetings until the 17th which is Lobby day and thousands of gun owners, Tea Party people and various other groups will converge on the GA Building.

So far there aren't many gun bills and I play second fiddle to VCDL on those anyway.

I do have a couple of bills I want to kill early though.

Falcon hunters want the same right to enter private property as dog hunters.
Bear hunters want to train their dogs at night.
One Northern Va Legislator wants a gun ban on Capital Grounds
There is a bill to allow Military Officers with CHP's to bypass some of the background checks for Assault Weapons.

I think they are all killable.

More bills will be streaming in over the next couple of weeks so I'll be busy.
These here is God's finest scupturings! And there ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here!

Those 4 don't make sense. I also don't see why dog hunters should be allowed private property access. ???

Private is private for them all here.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Me either Don and they're a pain in the backsides. I spend as much time running them off as I do hunting. If I never get anything else accomplished in the GA, I'll get rid of that.
You should see what they do to my roads when I'm not around.

I don't think any of those rules make sense.

But since your in VA, and this current thread is about legislation, I'll take a second to note HB1506 being proposed this morning.  Essentially it says that if the banks have committed fraud they get to eat it in regards to REMICS and trusts and foreclosures.  There will certaily be alot of rhetoric around this one as the banks will certainly hate it, but I have to say I love it and hope it goes through.

Second is this doozy, Establishing a joint subcommittee to study whether the Commonwealth should adopt a currency to serve as an alternative to the currency distributed by the Federal Reserve System in the event of a major breakdown of the Federal Reserve System.   Talk about a vote of no-confidence!

I think the thread is aptly named, the show is about to begin indeed.

I am expecting a constitutional carry bill also.
