How not to do electrical....

This site is at turns painful to look at.  Lot's of head shaking and "what were they thinking???"

For example:



In this one, they couldn't get the service panel cover back on...um...so they just left it off and made custom wooden door for the panel...errr....you see....they couldn't get the panel cover back on...

Um...

Because...

The gas line and shutoff valve that ran in front of the panel box was in the way...

Who in the class would like to tell me where this particular situation started to go bad?   ???

Well.....at least the wiring looks pretty decent.... bummer about that gas line, eh?  [ouch]

   Very convenient to have both shut-offs in the same box . . .    Now if they could have plumbed in a shut-off valve for the water line.

Well really....with the increased risk of fire, shouldn't there be a spinkler head installed inside the panel, just like a belt AND suspenders a full circle of protection.  Some of the trades that got into the business drawn by the building craze and money flow scare the dickens out of me.  And they wonder why we DIY?
