Solid Pine Door

Who make a good solid pine door? Some of the folks that have bought home depot pine doors say they are crap. They are pine veneer.

 You'll find very few solid wood doors today. Unless they are custom made. Most manf. use some type of plywood / composite , or cheaper particle board type core with veneer over the top.

 Less warping , splitting , cracking issues.

I agree, a veneered door is actually a higher spec than a solid door. We tend to think of veneer as cheap and inferior, sometimes that's true and sometimes its hype. I did make some of the solid pine doors in our house though, the rest are veneer over a solid pine lumber core. Generally the guys at a smaller building supply can order what you want.
