One of the nice things about insulated concrete forms (ICF) is that the basement level of the house can be as well insulated and dry as the upper level.

Here is an update report from Dennis Kuhn on his modified Victoria Cottage with an EcoBlock foundation. See the first entry in the Owner Builder Gallery:
