Prices are going to vary by locale. Here in NM a friend just had a 240 footer drilled / cased, no pump, for $38 a foot. It was the only driller he found who would even come out to estimate.  :(    Several miles away another acquaintance had a 585 footer drilled / cased, pump included at a cost of $30 a foot.    ???
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

I got a quote the other day for 11.00 a foot, plus casing at 6.00 foot.

Check out howtodrillawell.com. I ordered his info pack w/ booklet and DVD and was very impressed with his system, and it's perfect or the depth you're talking about from what I read.

I've heard around $40 a foot here - I have heard of some who charge extra for casing - lots of pricing strategies.  Most are extra for the pump and electrical  - some are extra for developing.
