Okay, this doesn't have much to do with building(although if I go with light straw clay walls, the manure will come in handy ;D), but I just have to show off my milk cow and pony pictures.

I saw that you called your Morgan horses a team.  Are you set up to plow with them in case there's no fuel for the tractor ???

Hmmm.....don't plow much here.  The place is pretty much all in pasture and I deep bed garden.  They pull the harrow to break up the manure and I'm working on getting a buggy.

As for the fuel thing, I'm ordering an adult tricycle to ride the 1 1/2 miles to work.  I'd ride a bicycle, but I tend to fall over at unexpected intervals ::).  Besides, it's really hard to ride a bike in a long dress.  I wish I could take my horses to work, but there isn't anywhere to put them while I'm there.

That's cool.  At least you're doing something with them.  My granddad used to log with a team of horses and I have a friend with two Belgians who has some buggys.  He used to do rides etc. He is also a harness maker/leather worker and likes to make the old stuff.
