How to keep track of Threads
« on: May 06, 2007, 05:28:24 AM »
This topic instructs how to use notification on the previous YABB2 board. It does not relate well to the new SMF board. I have removed it's "stickiness" but have retained the toic for old times sake... MODERATOR, MountainDon...

This forum is like a river. Things are constantly being washed downstream and you may want to attach a line to some of the things you find here so you can reel them in sometime in the future.

Here's how to use the Notification feature to keep track of topics you're interested in.

This image is a bit small but it says "Notify of Replies" and is at the bottom of every thread. Click that if you find something you want to keep track of.

Confirm you want to be notified by email of new posts to this thread. This is also put on your personal list of thread topics.

Open up your personal notification list here in the header and delete topics you no longer want to follow.
The link to the left, "Profile" is where you update your personal information, logo image, email and password.

This Notification List will not only remind you by email when a posting is made to a thread on your list but this list can be used as a tickler file for the threads you want to remember and get back to.
