Sounds as if you are flying completely under the radar so to speak. ;) Well I can tell you what I have seen done and it works well.
Used a 250 gallon fuel tank sit on legs on the exterior. A plumbing line was used from the bottom of the tank to the tank of the toilet. It was all gravity fed. Float activated just like a regular toilet. A little slower filling the tank of the toilet but when filled it operated basicly the same as a regular plumbed toilet. One advantage this individual had was that it was located near a stream so once a week or so he used a generator/pump to draw water up from the creek to fill the tank. But he had a septic tank of sorts whereas you will only have a small pit so I would imagine that it will fill up pretty fast when to add 2 gallon of water to it each time it is used.
Another obsticle will be if it is used in low temperatures and the feed line/tank freezing up.
